Case Summary

Allegations

This case revolves around a pharmacist who, on two separate occasions, practised while not registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and subsequently provided false information in restoration applications. The registrant had been removed from the register twice: first on 26 November 2014 and again on 13 July 2016, primarily due to failure to comply with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.

In the first instance, the registrant declared in a 2015 application that they had not practised since being removed. However, it was found that they had indeed worked at a hospital during that time. A similar pattern occurred again in 2016, where the registrant made the same false declaration after their second removal. On both occasions, these were deemed deliberate attempts to mislead the regulator and secure re-entry into the profession.
