Case Summary
Allegations
This case concerned a pharmacist who had previously been suspended for nine months following findings of serious professional misconduct and criminal convictions. The misconduct arose from the unlawful obtaining of prescription-only medicines while the registrant was employed in a community pharmacy setting.
The allegations were particularly serious because they involved the registrant using their access as a pharmacist to obtain medicines that were not available to the general public without a valid prescription. The determination records that the conduct occurred between 01 January 2024 and 15 March 2024 and involved prescription-only medicines being obtained without proper authorisation or documentation.
