Case Summary

Allegations

This case concerned serious sexual misconduct towards a junior member of a pharmacy team. The registrant was an experienced pharmacist who had been given responsibility for tutoring a trainee pharmacy adviser. Before the relevant events, communications between the two had largely been work-related and the trainee regarded the registrant as a good tutor.

The professional relationship changed following a workplace Christmas event in December 2024. After the event, the registrant began sending the trainee personal and sexualised messages through WhatsApp. These initially included comments about how attractive the trainee had looked and developed into explicit remarks about her breasts, buttocks, body shape and what the registrant wanted to do to her sexually.
