Case Summary

Allegations

This case concerned extremely serious misconduct by the registrant, a pharmacist working in a hospital setting, who was convicted of ten offences of harassment involving ten different colleagues. The conduct took place during the course of his professional duties and involved the covert taking of photographs of female colleagues without their consent. The photographs were taken secretly in the workplace, often from behind and frequently focusing on intimate areas of the body while the individuals were bending over or otherwise distracted.

The matter came to light following complaints made by colleagues, leading to police involvement. Upon arrest, the registrant’s mobile phone was seized and examined, revealing a significant number of images of female colleagues taken within the hospital environment. Victim impact statements were later provided by those affected, describing the distress, fear, and lasting psychological impact caused by the registrant’s behaviour.
