Case Summary
This case concerns a superintendent pharmacist who established and oversaw an online private prescription dispensing service that gave rise to serious regulatory concerns about governance, transparency, record keeping, and patient safety. The matter has a lengthy procedural history, with multiple reviews since the original finding of impairment in early 2023, culminating in a further two-year Conditions Order in February 2026 .
Allegations
The registrant had been registered since 1988 and acted as Superintendent Pharmacist and director of Wynrose Limited, which operated multiple pharmacies. In late 2019, the business began dispensing private prescriptions generated via an online platform operated by Better Health Limited. Patients across the UK could request prescription-only medicines (POMs), including Schedule 4 and 5 controlled drugs, via an online consultation with a GMC-registered doctor. Medicines were dispensed in Northern Ireland and supplied by post.
